Beach Wedding Dresses

Beach Wedding Gowns
If you are getting married in a museum, art exhibit, or some place that is known for forward thinking fashion such as Paris, then a modern wedding dress may be for you. Unlike other styles of wedding dresses though, a modern bridal gown can also fit in well with a beach wedding or a garden wedding, depending on the style you like. Modern destination wedding dresses are left up to the imagination and creativity of the bride.

Destination Wedding Dresses
Modern destination wedding dresses can be a little hard to describe, as they are forever changing and staying ahead of the times. Right now, features like an over sized bow, or a pleated skirt can be considered for the modern wedding dress. Other special features on modern wedding gowns may include geometric patterns, metallic hues, chunky embellishments, or even a simple sheath dress paired with a belt or sash to give it that extra edge.

Wedding Gowns, Cleaning
Let's work backwards...what's one of the last things on your checklist? Dry cleaning your wedding gown after the big day. Yuck! Chemicals, preservation techniques, tacky boxes, oh my. Think again. They spot clean your entire wedding dress, inside and out, to remove stains, oils and soils. Then they perform a specialized wet cleaning process on each wedding gown individually based on the age, color and fabric. Next, they will air dry your bridal gown to protect the beads and sequins from harmful heat. After pressing, they place the gown in a specially designed archival museum preservation box, which is acid free, lignin free and buffered. When the preservation process is completed, the boxed wedding gown is ready for you to view for final approval.

Wedding Dresses, Photographs
As the big day approaches, you’ll want to talk to your photographer about the schedule of events and establish a shooting time line. This is one of the most important conversations you will have with your photographer. He/she will establish how much time they need for shots of the two of you alone and for the formal shots of your families and bridal party. The single most important thing you can do to maximize your investment is to give him/her all of the time that they have asked for. The more time you give your photographer, the better shots you will have of your wedding dress. It’s just that simple.

Wedding Dresses - Ideas
Keep the wedding dresses simple, less fluff and tulle, nobody likes hauling around a giant wedding gown all day. I like the looks of the dresses on the website, many look like red carpet dresses that a celebrity might wear so they have some familiarity already when someone sees them and yet they are formal and not overdone.

Fitted Wedding Gowns
Fitted French Tulle wedding gown with flattering fit. This is a really feminine wedding dress which would look stunning on a taller bride, but could easily be shortened. The bodice is fitted with ruched tulle over satin which sweeps around the figure snugly to the skirt.

Strapless Wedding Gowns
A strapless, slim A-line gown with a corset back has a beaded neckline and a shirred, draped cross band bodice with scattered clusters of beads throughout the skirt and chapel length train. This is truly a magnificent wedding dress you would be proud to wear down the aisle.

Wedding Dresses and Your Family Heirloom
Your bridal bouquet is the perfect place to incorporate a family heirloom or pay homage to those close to you who have passed. It will certainly mean a lot to carry with you a memory of someone you love as you walk down the aisle. If your mother or grandmother was pushing for you to wear their wedding dress but you aren't feeling the vintage look, ask if you can snip a piece of the lace and wrap it around your bouquet instead. Have your grandfather's favorite handkerchief? Your florist can weave that into your bouquet wrap, too. My personal favorite tribute has to be a locket, delicately draped around the flowers stems, that holds an image of a loved one you want to honor.
